Pears and Shadows

I love using natural daylight for my personal work and thinking about how the light changes through the seasons.

This series was shot on one of those autumn days where you have all the seasons in one day, torrential rain, bright sun and everything in-between. I wanted to keep these very moody - even though I'm always tempted to keep things light and bright. But I think they have a real wintery feel to them reminiscent of a painting. I enjoy capturing the beauty of the most simple foods and these just looked so pretty on that plate.
