My goodness it’s been hot in London these past few days. I hope you’re all enjoying the weather and are inspired to create delicious light suppers to enjoy al fresco. These chargrilled vegetables with pesto, dill and feta works really well on the BBQ too. You can pretty much use any veggies, we used courgette, red pepper, aubergine and asparagus. We griddled them with a little oil until tender, crumbled over some feta cheese, and garnished with sprigs of dill, mint and chive. The dressing is a classic pesto – perfect for drizzling over or dipping.

It’s always nice to see your work in print and my lovely summery images for Bottle Green Cordial have made it into this weeks Hello magazine. This was one of my first lockdown photoshoots shot from my North London home studio.
As an ex-stylist I was able to keep the team to a minimum (just me on the day!) by sourcing all the props myself – I have a real passion for glassware so it was torturous to whittle my extensive wish list down to the 4 glasses I actually needed.
Backdrops and surfaces were kept light and bright with sunny yellows and sky blues adding to the summery theme. Pritesh Mody (you’ve probably seen him creating his wonderful cocktails on Sunday Brunch on Channel 4) created the recipes exclusively for Bottle Green and shipped them over to me in ready to pour bottles.
Although I wouldn’t say I was an accomplished cook – far from it, I do love playing around with garnishes. Inspired by the many cocktail bars I have supped in (in our former life Before Covid) I had a great time playing around with berries, pea pods and the most beautiful leafy lemons sourced from the fabulous Middle Lane Market N8.
After the shoot I was able to have a tipple of each and they were so delicious. My favourite was the Garden Gimlet, so fresh and lemony, although I would happily have drunk any of them.
Thanks to Pritesh for the photo of the Hello magazine feature.
I’ve been lucky to work with the delicious Snowflake gelato this summer. Not only did I get to shoot some of their gorgeous products but I got to eat them too. Their gelato is so good and I highly recommend their warm cookies and brownies – what a treat. Food styling by Isla Murray.
I’ve been steadily adding to my moving image portfolio with clients like The Sunday Times Magazine, John Lewis, Knorr & Philadelphia. Check out my moving image work on the link below and keep a look out on Instagram for updates. These pictured are some new stop motions coming soon…
